Despite what my blog is titled, I have a really awesome man whom I plan on keeping forever. We’ve been married for 19 years. And you know, once you get past the first year or two (or seven) where you’re still trying to figure out how this marriage thing works, it’s super-great!
We have 4 kids and they’re delightful. Mostly. Okay, they take turns being delightful. Hey, my kids take turns! Let’s call that a parenting win and move on, shall we? Two of our kids (our daughters) came to us the biological way and two of our kids (our sons) came to us the adoptive way via Ethiopia – just in case you happen to see some pictures of us. I wouldn’t want to confuse you. Yes, they’re all mine. Mine, mine, mine!
I love Jesus. I mess up a lot and I’m not a very good example of Christianity. But hopefully people aren’t following my example anyway. I’d really like for everyone to see Jesus in me and want to be more like Him because of it. And I’m ever so thankful that He is patient enough to keep working on me and letting me work for Him.
I’m a creative, performer kind of girl. I’ve been working on this writing thing for a while and enjoy blogging as a honing tool, personal therapy, and virtual stage. I like real stages, too, though. Speaking, acting, singing – that’s my idea of a good time!
For a deeper understanding of how I function (plus an absolutely fantastic little diagram), you should read this post. And if you’d like to read all about my family’s progression towards healthier living, you should read my other blog, Real.ForGood.
